Parenting was simpler in the '70s and '80s. You left your kid alone more, didn't hover over their life to make every decision for them, and if they turned out a little messed up, it wasn't such a big deal.

That sounds a little rough, but it's actually way better than what most parents today are putting their kids through. The parents here are the perfect example for what's wrong with parenting in the U.S. today.

Are the kids the real adults here? Probably.
